I've just completed an AMX project in Madrid, Spain. It was a nice enough
job: the usual stress, pressure, deadlines, etc, nothing new there. But I did
get to work with a group of excellent guys on the job, and we did have the bonus
of being taken out on a corporate hospitality event...

...we were taken out to the "Estadio Santiago Bernabeu" in uptown Madrid to
watch a Real Madrid game, courtesy of the excellent client we were out there
working for. This is me at the Bernabeu Stadium. The game was Real Madrid

Its a serious stadium, and Real Madrid is a serious subject for the people
of the city. They don't mess around out there when it comes to soccer.
Also, its worth mentioning that the food out there is fantastic, absolutely
fantastic, I could live out there just for that. And the sangria? It was

Oh by the way, Real won the game 5-0, with goals scored by Beckham, 2 by
Ronaldo, Raul and Guti. Best player on the pitch, and my man of the match?
Thomas Gravesen. MLB Soccer XI? Were they actually on the pitch? It was a

Also, back in Britain this weekend, Looby did her sponsored abseil in aid of the Royal
National Institute for the Blind. This abseil was from the side of the Humber Bridge.
The Humber Bridge was opened on 24th June 1981 and at that time, was the longest single-span
suspension bridge in the world. Since then, it has been overtaken twice and is now the
third longest in the world.
