Here are a few shots from our week away in Gogledd Cymru. We stayed on a Haven holiday park in Portmadog. Here's J inside our caravan. Click on picture to enlarge.

More of J messing about around the caravan. Yes, that is a pink elephant, this was one of the characters in the Haven holiday park kids' shows, "Anxious the Elephant". I tried to foist a "Rory the Tiger" soft buddy onto J but he was adamant he wanted the girly pink elephant in a dress instead. Am I worried? Not yet. Click on picture to enlarge. J at the caravan
Portmeirion Italiante Village While in Wales, we visited Portmeirion, the beautiful Italiante village built by Sir Clough Williams Ellis in Penryhdeudreath. A working hotel now and extremely beautiful place to visit, Portmeirion is probably best known outside of architectural circles for being the location for the cult 60's TV epic "The Prisoner". Click on picture to enlarge.
Being a huge cult TV fan, I've personally visited Portmeirion a few times, but it was the first time for Lu and J. Here's me outside Number 6's residence, now the "Prisoner" shop in the village. Click on picture to enlarge. Dar in Portmeirion
Lu in Portmeirion And here's Lu, now forever a prisoner of the super-secret, super-science retirement home for spies known only as "The Village", until she shares with us the secret of "why she resigned"!!!. Click on picture to enlarge.
Cant imagine what super-secret spy information they dont want J to impart, but it looks as though he's been incarcerated in the Village as well. Click on picture to enlarge. J in Portmeirion
J in Portmeirion OK, enough corny captions. Here are some more pics. Click on picture to enlarge.

A great pic of Lu at Portmeirion, moody eh? Click on picture to enlarge. Lu at Portmeirion
J being a statue at Portmeirion This picture needs some explanation. This is J pretending to be a statue in an alcove, being as still as he can be. Click on picture to enlarge.
As well as Portmeirion, we also visited the magnificent Caernafon Castle. Click on picture to enlarge. Dar at Caernafon Castle
Caernafon Castle This really is a magnificent castle, probably the best I've ever been to, and I've been to Lincoln Castle and Dover Castle. A word of advice though if you've never been, its no place for little kids, not for kids as old as J anyway. It really is full of vertigo-inducing drops and really steep steps, and there are a lot of high parapets with very little fall protection. So leave the toddlers at home if you ever visit. We also went on the Welsh Highland Railway from Portmadog to Blaneau Ffestiniog and back. Here we are on the platform at Portmadog. Click on picture to enlarge. J at the Welsh Highland Railway
J at Ffestiniog And here's J at Ffestiniog. Click on picture to enlarge.
And on the way back to Portmadog. It really is breathtaking scenery on this railway, travelling through the mountains and the Snowdonia National Park. Click on picture to enlarge. J on the Welsh Highland Railway
J on the Welsh Highland Railway And here's the train we went on. Click on picture to enlarge.
I'll finish with two shots of what J got up to to impress the girls at the Haven evening show and disco. Now I never knew J could breakdance or bodypop, but he just got down on the floor and started popping it. Click on picture to enlarge. J breakdancing
J breakdancing This was, in fact, completely hilarious. J was absolutely pulling off breakdancing moves. At one point he spun around on his back with his legs pulled up in a true proper breaking stylee. The boy has it. Click on picture to enlarge.
Its goodbye from Wales. We had a great time. Click on picture to enlarge. Goodbye from Wales
